Preserving the Past for the Future
Scottown Covered Bridge
On C.R. 67 just south of Rt. 217. East of Scottown.
The one lane Scottown Covered Bridge sits over the Indian Guyan Creek and was renovated in 1991.
This Lawrence County landmark is made of a timber frame and is currently owned by the local government.
The current maximum weight capacity is 10 tons.
It has been thought that all covered bridges look alike, but after some research it has been found that each covered bridge has its own individual characteristics that distinguish it from all others.
