Messrs. Stefanski & Shepard’s cigar-box factory is one of young and promising industries of the city. It now employs eleven hands and though it has only been running about six weeks has quite a trade. It now supplies all the boxes used by cigar makers in this city and most of those used in Ashland, and has orders from Knoxville, Tenn., Richmond, Petersburg and other cigar centers in Virginia and from various points in Ohio. Mr. Stefanski says that every order they have filled as yet has been followed by a second order. The factory is expanding its capacity as fast as possible to meet demands.
